But that Align version of the OS sure is cheap, how is the warrenty on it??
I see this as the only point the Align bashers can bring up on this engine, truth is they are good and people are not having problems with them so they either dont know,or they are having problems and they are being sorted so no one complaining about the warranty.
Either way you cant go wrong with the Align engine

My opinion only.

as the align 90 is a re-badged os90 then there shouldn't be a quality issue
it just goes through a different agent for the warranty

Thats the problem, Assurance SUX for warranty issues. If it was going directly to OS I would certainly consider one.
Add to that hard to find and get parts and that seals the deal for me.
3 of my LHS has a full stock of YS parts. But what sealed the deal for me was when OS sold out to Align and rebadged their engines..

I think any of the engines mentioned are great but if you have not tried a ys91sr yet, i'd say give it a shot. I bet it will bring a smile to your face every time you fly. I know it does mine

same crap different thread. Like so many threads before this is destined to end the same way.....by people advocating to buy what they have as they can't be wrong.....after all they bought it...right?

We had drags the other day at an event and all the YS 91's were beaten by the OS 91HZ. But by bugger all. ON another day with a different pilot and machine it could easily be the other way around.

I don't believe all the crap posts about "WOW...I was blown away with the amazing increase in power I got after changing to the ............ engine WOW" Sorry...but Bull$hit.

The 91's all put out about the same power. They have all had rear bearing problems. Just depends how much you fly them. The more the better. If you like simple and reliable...then stick a 91 HZ non pumped in it. If you don't mind the plumbing and pressure and a little more complexity then go for one of the pumped engines wether it's SR or HZ. The pumped SR has been known for easy tuning and consistency. OS has had a checkered history there. Purchase one based on parts availability, cost and support...also having someone that runs the engine in your club and CAN tune.

Most of all avoid the HYPE. Neither is a bad choice.
