this is the stuff you're after. clean cut PET...doesn't fray when you cut it with scissors. not sure if the other links posted fray or not. but, i've used this for years for sleeving servo wires, etc. and it's worth it's weight in nitro.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I ended up getting 6-ft of this:

http://cableorganizer.com/nylon/#video (thanks trunkmunki)

Incredibly, they sell it by the foot for .27/ft! It was like $3.80 shipped for 6-ft

Cudaboy, the stuff from Fry's looks similar, but looks like it's sold in 20-ft lots (@ .35/ft) and I only needed a bit

I'm still amazed cableorganizer didn't have a minimum

Glad to help, though I can't take credit for the find. I saw a link to that site a while back in another thread. Lots of neat wire-bundling stuff there.

Spiraled?

I've only used a spiral wrap in the past. Is this stuff spiraled. If not. how do you get a servo lead connector thru it? Thanks in advance.

It is not spiraled, you can just push the lead through it. I know you are thinking about inserting the wire into it at random points so that multiple servo leads go into it and the wrap covers them all the way back to the servos. That is "split wire loom." The braid is just a sleeve, but you can run multiple leads but only from where they all "mate-up" and then to the rx. You can do either, it is personal preference. I like the look of custom length leads with the braided stuff.

You can sleeve the individual wires until they mate, then run another sleve around the bundle the rest of the way to the rx for a REALLY clean look. Terminate with heat-shrink on the ends (one way to do it, but again looks really clean).

Not saying you can't get it from anywhere else, but cableorganizer.com carries both.

You ever see a Chinese Finger Trap? It's like that, but like a thin woven polyester mesh.

when you scrunch it together, the diameter becomes larger. As you pull it apart, it gets smaller.
