Hi,

I posted this in the Hirobo forum the other day but had no response so thought I would ask in here,
I'm just finishing of building a second E3 SWM and in the manual when assembling the washout it says to remove the M2 grub screws with the provided allen key, why are they in there ?, and why should they be removed ? I've checked on the one I've already finished and I've left one grub screw in but the other is missing oops
Thanks Simon.

Not in my instructions...

The instructions that came with my E3 SWM AOCC model clearly shows them 'installed'.

Additionally, the washout assy. came fully assembled and the screws were tight.

Hi,

Yes mine came assembled and these small grub screws are also in there but not tight or with any loctite on.

My model is the older version 0414-937 and page 24 at the top shows the completed wash out assmbly which then says M2x3SS 'Use the L-shaped wrench (accessory) to remove this'

Hi,

Top right of this page is where it mentions removing the M2 set screws, you might have to zoom a bit to read it.

simon109,
I guess translation wasn't complete.
Japanese instruction says "Use included wrench IF needs to remove the M2X3SS." That measns when you replace A-Arm, you need to remove the set screw.

I had the same thought, but MAN what a difference a word can make if you're unfamiliar with a model design.
