I will be shooting a golf course very soon, one of many I expect. Any hints, tips, pitfalls appreciated. I will be using a sony HDR HC1 and if you have any recommended settings that would be appreciated as well. Mount is HCS E4 with the bitchin pano mod on it.

I believe most are using full automatic with the Sony HC series. I have the HC9 and typically use automatic for everything except focus. I use manual infinity.

Fully auto is ill advised because it often leaves room for ugly auto iris jumps. Set your exposure on the ground, if in doubt lean to the side of underexposure by one stop as you can work with that versus blown highlights.
