Thanks for the heads-up. Just finished ordering mine from them. Can't wait for the mail person to drop that big package off.

BTW, I also ordered a new engine from them called YS 91SR3C. Have anyone here tried it and how do they fare among the already current and popular YS91SR?

You sure about that? As soon as I too saw the SDX/SWM version being available for purchase, I went ahead and ordered mine. It took my order and didn't gave me any message about it's only a pre-order that they're taking in. As a matter of fact I have to pay a hefty price on shipping alone since its using EMS as a source for shipment. My total comes to $470.69 shipped from their shop.

So the YS913C just have a bigger head? what about the description of having a new carburator? Anyways, can't wait for those items to show up.

For what it's worth, if you do end up buying the SDX from Hong Kong, technically your kit will not be warrantied by the U.S. Importer/Distributor.
IMHO,I know it's tempting, but it's better to wait for MRC to start supplying U.S. stores with kits.

Isn't that why we buy Hirobo? For the support and the quality. I'm sure if you buy their brand new kit, and have an issue, Hirobo will step up to the plate.

The US Market is handled by the US distributor, MRC. The hobby shop you purchase the kit from can help you with warranty issues. In the past, MRC has helped a lot of folks that buy gray market kits, regardless of the source but to be fair, it is always best to use domestic sources.

I can understand your point about buying it locally to get some type of warranty from MRC/Altech. So far I have purchased my EVO 90, Lepton, and D3 here in the US. Not to pour salt into a wound and I know this is going to be a bold statment coming from me, but MRC has failed to supply essential parts especially for the D3. I can understand too that the D3 is a pretty new kit and there are still new parts to be brought out. Also with our country's current economic situation, US companies who rely on outside / international sources can't seem to supply and/or afford to get them at the moment and this puts a hinder to those consumers who are looking forward for support.

Take for example the case where I needed a new clutch coupling for my D3. I'm suppose to get that part at MRC or any retailer that stocks Hirobos, but during that time I was browsing their site they have no parts available for that. When my starter shaft on my Dynatron ate and chipped a good portion of my SSZ-IV blade holder because of my clumsiness/stupidity I was looking for a replacement on MRC and again I couldn't find one. I did a search on any US hobby shops and couldn't find any parts on the D3. When I chipped and cracked my G-10 vertical tail fin because of a hard auto landing, again I check US retailers including MRC and again I couldn't find one. It's only now that MRC and some retialers have started gettng parts for the D3, but in its earlier days you couldn't find any. Things like that discouranges US consumers from buying parts from local retailers and suppliers and ends up buying them from overseas.

To be honest I have been dealing with rcpowersupply for about a year and half now and they haven't put me down. Several members here especially the Hirobo section knows that I've been PMing them and passing them informations on where to get hard-to-find Hirobo parts and I always tell them to get it from rcpowersupply. I tried to keep them my secret supplier, but now that it's in the open I might as well cough it up.

Price is reasonable and I woudn't mind paying shipping just as long as I can get the parts / kits I needed. All this warranty stuff is useless if the company responsible for supporting them cannot provide and supply.

Hirobo has always been a great company. Did you try Ricks? We all know Hirobo makes top quality helis and parts. It's worth a little extra trouble until they get the parts stream filled.

i know that our local hobby shop guy ,mikesrchobbiesDotcom has and will special order any hirobo items, he does not stock all of the items, that one would need but it only takes a couple of days to get most items in stock. i am sure if you had called any of the online store's they would have done the same , i know i used to get all of my hirobo stuff from ronlund,

with the usa ecommy in the state it is we should really support the local hobby guy, we have had alot of store close up over the last few yrs. right now in my town , about the only heli parts you can find in stock at most hobby shops is Align, crash a raptor and no one has or stock it any more , same with Hirobo, they will only stock what they can sell.

I talked with Mike the other day and he said will he will stock the most common crash parts for the new hirob SDX If sale are good , then he would stock more , I think demand for the heli will tell all

Guys,
You can order the SDX from your local hobby shops(that are MRC dealers)in the states OR call up heliproz, MTA, Ricks Heliproz South, 3dx, Mikes RC, and countless others(be sure to check the home page of RR for the list of all on line hobby shops). If you order now I think it is safe to say you will get the first shipment.
