The seesaw, mixing arms, flybar, blade grips, vertical fin (no horizontal fin), dampers and from one of the team guys, the collective pitch tray in plastic is actually better.

What about the plastic tray did the team member like over the CF unit?

Having my heli: Cool, Having a working heli: Awesome, Having a day to fly: PRICELESS!

cheaper. they'll say they liked it better though of course.

The R903D was basically designed to replace the R90 standard so they kept it cheap while adding a few unique items along the way.honestly I would recommend it over the R90SE..its more capable in stock form.

it was explained to me from a TT team member that you can actually get a small amount MORE pitch when using the plastic tray.

Actually you can get a bit more pitch from the plastic blade grips. The 3-D mixers help too or you can cut the old type plastic mixers short and redrill on the long end and use pan head screws at the flybar teeter hinge. You can grind a step instead of using panheads. The carbon tray is stiffer and allows full swashplate travel on the mast, at least on the SE. You can remove-cut off the plastic oval pieces in the sideframes if you like. I would not replace a carbon tray with a plastic tray. You should be able to pull about 14/14 on the SE with the modified mixers in the pics. Use a long collective servo arm and cut the ATV to say 60% with a strong and fast servo, That will bring things in line with eCCPM pumping action-if that is indeed what you desire.

I actually sanded the front aluminum part of my carbon coll trey to allow it to move farther down. This allowed to to get a degree or so more pitch out of my 90SE. I have a plastic trey but haven't compared it yet to the sanded carbon one. I alos cut out the oval plastic parts that ride inside the oval slots of the elevator arm.
