Hi guys

Is it essential to install a 0.5mm washer between the circlip and the one-way hub on the L600? The instruction manual says it is, but I've tried and the circlip doesn't fit then!

Many thanks

David

washer

Yes, important to get the 0.5mm, if can't may get away with either 0.2 or 0.3 or 0.4, if not c-clip may grind against one-way bearing housing.

If the clip won't fit with the circlip, you my have two washers between the maingear and the bearing above it. Remove one of them at the top and out it on the bottom. That will give you the same clearance with the washer on the bottom as well.......Ron

Hmmm that's what I thought might happen (ie. I could see what the purpose of the washer was but I couldn't get it in there!) ...

The main parts it seems to be fouling against are the little ears that you lock the tail pulley into by twisting the main shaft ... if you see what I mean? Where the pin (through the main shaft) locks into the tail pulley there are two ears that cover the slots the pin sits in - and they seem to be protruding enough to give me grief with that washer! Can I file those ears down / off completely? They don't seem to be doing much?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply laughingstill! Strangely I've just swapped the main shaft and main gear as there was a slight warp (see my other thread) and I found an extra washer left over after the reassembly (never a good sign)! I will dismantle the parts again and have a closer look tomorrow .... it's 1am here now

Cheers

You should not need to file anything, I would disassemble the assembly and do it correctly..........Ron
