Well, after only 3 days of flying my new Beam E4 I slammed it. I am so pissed at myself. It had been flying great and I was up high doing some flips and stuff. Brushing up on my orientations. Well on my 3rd pack I accidently started in idle up and had a hot start so I flipped back to normal mode. Spool up and forget to switch back to idle up. Well you can guess what happens next. After a couple minutes I go up to do some flips. I had never seen a heli come down so fast after I got inverted. I could kick myself! It is a very tough heli, but I managed to notch up most of the bearings, all the blades, spindle, main shaft etc. The canopy (the Orange one I had gotten in the mail the same day) actually faired very well. Just a few crinkles on the bottom where it touches the frame and a couple small cracks. The rest looks just fine. Anyways, trying a flip in normal makes bads things happen to good people haha.

I wont list out all of the parts, but it came to 67.50 for everything aside from the main blades, so not too too bad, but discouraging none the less. I think I will go for the Radix CosFlaw 325s next. I had the TP blades on it and I LOVED THEM. Oh well

I'm glad you got to see what it is capable of before its unscheduled landing. It sounds like you have the right mentality to be a heli person. Its not if it crashes, but when it crashes. Build, fly, crash, repeat. See you at the field.

Yep. I am hoping to be back in the air by Tuesday. I cant get over how well this thing flies. It is by far my fave heli out of all of them.

bumper - You missed a step

In my case,
build, fly, crash ... (curse and swear at my own stupidity). Then repeat.
Good luck Sonic88

Thanks. Ive got here all back together. Leveled the swash with the truelood Trex 450 leveler which by the way works perfect on the Beam too, I have a level swash throughout the entire pitch range with no interactions.Unfortunately, right when I finished the overcast, decided turn into rain. Oh well.

Here she is. Would you believe that the canopy in this pic is the one that was on in the crash. Just a little damage to the bottom. I was very impressed with the durability of the canopy.
