Hi all

I know there are a few electrical geniuses on this form and mabye some of the more cleverer people can help me( a electrical dummy )

I'm planning to buy a new charger and was wondering which of the 2 charger is better given they only differ with a dollar or so.

Here are the links to the chargers I'm looking at:
Charger 1:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/...?idProduct=7898

Charger 2:

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/...?idProduct=7443

Now since I normally don't charge of my car and would like to charge of my wall socket here in south africa 240v.

I can get a AC/DC power adaptor with the following specs:
- INPUT:100 - 240V ~ 50/60Hz
- OUTPUT:12V ~ 1A
- CONNECTOR :Inner Diameter : 2.1mm
Now i know the connectors won't work and was thinking to modify the power cables of the charger with a deans connector.

Will my adapter work with the chargers or do I need something else?

Pretty good power supply.. open it up and unplug the fan, you don't need it.. I power up car headlights with it. I havn't really load tested thought but it seem to charges my batteries just fine with my charger.

I would be looking at other charger then that those you listed thought.

This adapter will not work for any charger because it only outputs 1A which would be a very slow charge rate for most batteries.

And I suggest you spend a little extra for this charger http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/...alancer/Charger

I have 3 of them and haven't had a single issue. I believe it to be a much better charger than the two you linked to.
