I have two Vision-50 kits now and have come to a stop on them. Both are exibiting the same issue. When there is input into the flybar the guide pins on the center carrier interfere with the guides in the upper hub assembly. It must be something I'm doing because there are 100's of these flying (1000's ??) and I haven't seen this mentioned before. I have written ElyQ support on this and they are supposed to be sending a replacement center flybar carrier. This made sense since it appears the guide pins are not exactly perpendicular to the flybar itself. But now I have two kits, could they both be wrong?

Has anyone else ran into this? Any suggestions on fixing this? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi jschenck,

I've had no such issue with my kit, or maybe I don't really understand your issue?

During my build, I did notice that the ball links are very tight, thus restricting smooth movement.. What I did was apply some Tri-flow clear synthetic grease (These are metal and plastic friendly grease) to the ball links, and the upper head assembly, and that smoothed the movement for the head assembly. FYI, I did not ream the links..

my kit did have this problem too.. i found out that it makes a huge difference how you tighten the rotorhead button and how you twist and turn the Flybar Seesaw Lever to get the best fit...

Same as mine. It will be alot smoother when you put the head button on.

Putting the head button on doesn't seem to cure the interference issue. Also tried flipping the flybar around 180° - didn't make a difference.

Can someone try a similar test with their Vision? Tilt the swash over to input flybar paddles about 8° (main blade movement) and see if the flybar will tilt smoothly.

I put the first three tanks through my Vision today - the flybar worked, flew great. It's a new engine so I was running very slow and rich, not a lot to report on how it flies though I did spend most the 3rd tank shooting auto's, handled them well. It was breezy so auto's were easy even with the low headspeed.

Anyway I still don't 100% get how the flybar works but it must move to a parallel position anytime it runs where the swash is tilted.
