how do you replace the bearing in a flex starter. thanks

You need to disassemble the end with the bearing, make or find something that fits the outside diameter of the bearing and press out the bearing and the brass piece a little heat will help. Then check the bearing lockup direction, it can go backwards, and make or find a device to press the parts back in, straight. I have used a vise to do the press part. You can also send back to MA they will do this for you.

Send it back to MA, trust me its a pain in the a$$ to take the bearing out. You can also damage the part that holds the bearing in trying to unscrew the bearing holder.
