The original Vibe 90 is an awsome machine. For $649 for heliproz, that's a very good deal....

my 2 cents: buy a trex700 for this price - parts are much cheaper.

Parts are much cheaper on a Hundai also, but if I can get the Mercedes or Audi or BMW for the same price as the Hundai, I know I would buy the MB or Audi or BMW.

Not a very good analogy because I would bet that the slowest Mercedes, BMW, or Audi probably runs circles around the top of the line Hyundai.

The 700 runs with, if not above the best helis without regard to price.I may be wrong but I think it has the best power to weight ratio of any 90.

sorry, I know this thread was supposed to be about the version 1 vibe 90.

That's a good price for a 90 of that quality.

I am sure the SG has some improvements, but the old Vibe is a real quality bird.

Like someone said, it will fly good without any upgrades.

As for parts prices. Crashing a 90 is a bad idea no matter what it is. Extra weight usually means lots of stuff breaks if you auger in.

Even a trex 700 is going to be costly if you hit hard.

If you do a lot of crashing, maybe a .90 isn't such a good idea.

It's only $1500. you might as well spend it now, before The big O takes it.

So you are saying the Vive 90SG is over 2X as good as the old Vibe 90 AND the Trex 700? Come on...give me a break. The price is over 2X as much! 2X. Think about that for one minute and then think about it again.

No I'm not saying that at all. I am saying that $697 is a good price.

I have paid a little over a grand for an X-Cell. But I wouldn't pay $1500 for an SG. I am sure it is a nice bird, but how much nicer then the original Vibe 90. Not 2x I'm sure.

At the same time, I bet they sell a lot of them. You have to give JR credit, in that a lot of the $1000 90's usually end up at $1500 by the time people do upgrades. The JR is really good out of the box.

The thing is, this hobby is somewhat insane. Many normal people have no idea how much money we spend. If they did, we would all be in straight jackets.

It's all realitive.

perhaps the vibe 90sg will be clone, just like what happen to the vibe 50. then it will be affordable.

If nothing else cloning will help them to price it a little more competitively.

hi

Crash a 90 VIBE SG HARD, you are looking at 1500 for another kit.

Crash a Trex 700 HARD .. PRICELESS.. another kit for under 700..

From someone that has flown both.. They do not fly THAT MUCH better than one another.... Seriously!!!!

Go figure

I will stick with a Trex 700 and buy a back up kit for the price of one SG kit..

But to each his own
