I am receintly returning to the hobby and am currently all electric. I think I would like to add a gasser. I do general flying ( no hard 3D intended). I am looking at a MA Spectra G and know verry little about gassers. What would you recomend for a good engine and pipe. As well as anything else I would need. Thanks in advance.

Its much easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!!!

A stock 231 performs fantastic. If your not needing super power then you prolly just don't need it. You can simply balance a 231 and get super smooth power if that's what your after.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the power of a stock motor.

Send it to Al or Hanson, they can do it.

Mine seems pretty darn smooth but all I can compare to is my electrics!

Hi BLT4FUN
I do general flying ( no hard 3D intended).
Well I think a stock 231 Puh will do the job.

If you wan`t to do some 3D, you`ll need a headspeed as high as
possible, and with a TRM 231 stage 3 and a 92t maingear
( I read on another forum that MA don`t make the 93t anymore)
you can run a, safe for the engien, headspeed of 1870 rpm
( 13250/7,08 = 1871 )
