It looks like a GY401 "knock off".

They moved a switch and put it in a different case?

And they removed the "sp" from spectrum and repladed it with a "D".

This shows lack of creativity.

Spectrum also has a 'c' , but I suspect that you mean Spektrum anyway ? I which case , they replaced 'Spek' with 'De' and just kept the 'trum' . So they also kept a 'GY4', to go with their stolen 'trum' hoping to cash in on the reputation of Spektrum and Futaba . Yeah right .

From the web site:
8).Operating current: 80A
Wow! 80 amps! That's a whole bucketful of current. That'll be around 400 watts

Greg Alderman was flying one of these today at our funfly, looks like it did pretty good on his Outrage. He was doing piro-flips and some other light 3d.

I'm wondering how it will perform also. I think I'll get one when they come in stock. Might be good for a scale or beater heli.

Man, I miss the eighties.

It seems that it's also being sold as a KDS 800 , and is available in a choice of colours .

Is there a Rx battery out there that will supply this Gyro with 80 amps?

Or is that a typo?

Can you say GY401.

The Big Letters that say "made in China" should read "copied in China"

If you really wanted to cash in on someone elses reputation , you'd probably do something like this .

That Gyro is spelled GYRD I think its direct pronunciation for Gyro in Chinese.
