I`d like to know opinions about using this car grease (bisulfuro de molibdeno in spanish) in the tail gear box of my XL 1005 gas (I´m using the black reinforced gears)

Right now I`m using white lithium grase a friend gaveme (this grease has more than 50 flights). This grease is very hard to find in my country and I`m not able to buy in internet (due to my country politics) I have lots of this grease at home. And I understand it`s one of the best in the world. It`s viscosity seems to be almost the same as the lithium white

the manual doesnt specify anything about using white, red, blue or pink grease...!!!

Is it safe to use this grese...???

Tail box grease

I use a high temp wheel bearing grease and don't have a problem with it. I run it on my tempest and Spectra G Tail boxes and have no worries. clean it out and fill up the box not to full any excess grease will squeeze out around the shaft and bearing housing.

As far as being safe for plastic I cant say, however we use the same lube on our blade bolts for real helos, so I can say the dependability factor is there. I'm sure it will work well in the gearbox as well.

It's what we call a moly - disulfied it'sexcellent for gearing

Very good stuff, pretty dang expensive too ! Litterially full of microscopic ball bearings " molyedium " and extreme pressure additives. Exclusivley used for high contact pressure area's on gearing and sliding surfaces. Wish I had some

My only queston is it low enough in viscosity to plate out or stay fluid like ?? in the small tail case of the gearing - A lower substitute would be a graphite base. The lowest of all is your white lithium - which is a clay base for a filler.

Another source for you if your into pure synthtics might be found in a electrical motor repair facility. If you think about it, electric motor bearings never stop. My favorite for bearings exclusive is Mobil polyrex EP. I also use a prematex pure syn VLG1 grade which is teflon base for my bearings but it's pretty thin and leaks down - which is fine for me " self cleaning "
