Look I like John....
His help and dvd's got me in the air...
But finding out on the post and not on his web sight....
I just talk to him when ordering two more units... And passing the word with other flyers about the sale. I feel like a Jack Ass.

Mr. Brown,

I will be pleased to refund your money if you feel I deceived you in any manner whatsoever.

However, please allow me to show you 'exactly' where I disclose these facts on the website - and note how it's not buried but is front and center along with the BBC as an option. Specifically, within the Pantera [Overview] there it is, near the very top in fact, in the section of bullet points, which are enumerated with Roman numerals, precisely where we tell what's within the overview, is section number 2, dedicated to options:

Reproduced here in its entirety . . .

I. Features - the competition never saw us coming

Removable Bearing Blocks - easier maintenance
40% Bigger Bearings - a hevay duty foundation
Larger Clutch - how to harness a 91
4 mm Flybar - think pitbull vs. poodle
Mixture-servo Mount - convenient in-flight adjustment
Direct Servo Control - reduces sloppy linkages
90° Linkages - easier to build and setup
8 Servo Mounts - scale modelers rejoice
Triple Bearing Tail Rotor Grips - silky smooth
Dual Tapered-Collet Clutch Hub Mounting - minimize runout

II. Options - making a good thing better

91-powered Pantera - simply wicked
Output Shaft Stabilizers - crsiper cyclic response
Air Filter - increased engine longevity

III. Extended Info - behind the scenes

Better Than Sex - hmmm
Paid Pilots - a matter of trust
Overengineered - it didn't just happen
Proof of Concept Model - step 1
CAD Refinement - step 2
Alumium Positive - step 3
Create the Mold - step 4

IV. Conclusion - is she the right heli for you?

V. Learn More - head-to-head comparisons

. . . Moreover, within the body of text, at each of the sections, especially please note how II. Options are both in bold face, 'and' with larger text to boot, specifically due to our intention of drawing a reader's eye. Plus, within the body of the [Overview] text, we go into excruciating detail about each and every one of the above points, complete with photos.

Frankly, sir, I just do not believe it can reasonably be interpreted that I have attempted to deceive you, or anybody . . . not now, not ever. Finally, I have also specifically said these are options online within this very forum. Please believe me I've never tried to cheat aybody in my life and I am not about to start now!

Respectfully,

John Beech

Takes a big man to admit his error, especially on line. I respect that.

I have always thought that the Pantera is a good heli but I havent looked that at them ( or even seen a single one in all my travels)

I have 2 beloved Century Ravens and I think that the pantera is the only heli with a hope of getting me to switch brands.

I cant afford the $$ right now, but Im glad I saw the sale, as now I will bounce any future Century orders off a possible new pantera to my fleet.

if you extend this sale any further then you have me at "hello" I wont be able to resist.

while it's not a big deal at all, I am very glad I did not order one and reveive it without those parts, as the other two kits I ordered in the past did come with them. I'm glad this was brought to light.

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

im still geting me two this week even if the Output Shaft Stabilizers and air filter dont come with them, most kits i have seen or read about there are alot of upgrades it takes to make it real solid or perform better as for the pantera that's not really the case so even if i had to order a set of output shaft stabilizers its still a no brainer to me.

hey! were is the reset button!

My two came in yesterday, and I only have the electrics left to install in the Rave 450, so I will get on the Pantera tomorrow or Sat.

I'm not worried one bit about the servo stabilizers. The kit was $350 a few months back, now some of us bought two kits for $300.

I think the servo stabilizers are a great idea, but I doubt there would be much benefit on the first Pantera I build with soft dampers for FAI type flying.

Once I have some more money, I am going to build the second Pantera with a .70, and put in good servos and hard dampers. That one will get the servo stabilizers, and I am sure they will help.

John made a good choice making that stuff an option, and lowering the kit price. It seems even a $30 difference will drive some people to buy one kit over another.

That kind of thinking doesn't make sense, but we all seem to do it.

In reality, we end up spending $800 to $1200 on the engine, servos, gyro, receiver, yet worry about one kit costing $30 more then the other.

I was pretty much set on a Furion, then when the price hit $300, I just about put an order in. But I controlled myself and got a Rave, because everyone says it flies big. Just what I want.

The Rave kit cost about $70 more, and that seems like a lot, but reality bites again. A good charger, four 4S batteries, servos, gyro, receiver, and ecs has added another $1000. The extra $70 doesn't seem like much when I add up the total cost. I got what I wanted, and it cost $1470 as opposed to $1400. Not a big deal if you look at the actual total.

I think we all suffer from this, because it really is painful when you add the components up and realize what a bird REALLY cost. It's a lot easier to tell your wife that it only cost $300.

I can't wait to get it in the air.

The most fun I have had flying RC, is the FAI box. It doesn't impress many people, but it is a great challenge. Get in front of the judges, and it is nerve racking, but cool as can be.

Get some wind, go into an eye level hover, and do a perfect 360 piro.

It will look boring to the onlooker, but you won't be bored practicing over and over again to get it perfect, if that's possible.

All that said, it's 18 degrees, we only got 12 inches of snow, and hopefully, this will be the last of it.

I am building, and ready for summer.
