I'm getting rid of my tt53. Problem is I can't get the damn fan off from my 600n. Does anyone know if there is a tool I can get for this?

You can try to heat it up, which I did and it did not work. I ended up using the old "hammer and Punch" technique. The crankshaft somehow dug into the fan on mine. It was a real pain to get it off. Like I said, I took out the cylinder, sleeve, and con rod. I then used a hammer and punch to back the crankshaft out of the back of the motor.

Are you using a piston lock?

You probably took the crank nut off. Did you also loosen the two clamping screws under the fan?

remove top nut and loosen the two hex at the base of the fan mount...

support the fan mount somewhere (i use a half opened vice) and give the crankshaft a tap from the end..

heat the fan mount,if it was loctited as it should be, the heat will release the loctite. then put oil in the cc and see if it will spin on the crank, if it does just spin it till the loctite works out, otherwise the vise and hammer and BRASS puch trick works too, just be carefull. with out pulling the rod , piston ass you can do damage if hitting it to hard.

MA fan puller

This is what I use from back when I had a bunch of Min Air helis. This tool comes in handy more times then I can count. The part number is 0554 Fan Hub/Flywheel Puller.

Great responses. All of the screws are off including the two clamping screws under the fan plus the one on top. I'm just surprised how hard this thing is to get off. I'll try the heating technique tonight. Hopefully it will save my hands from more damage

Thanks all,
Travis

Try taking the clamp screws all the way out and threading them from the other side, slip in a razor blade into the slot, as you thread in the screw it will push on the razor and separate the hub. make sure that you put equal pressure on both screws so the hub doesn't warp. You only want to loosen the hub, don't crank on it to hard or it could strip the threads.

good luck

lets say dead blow hammer or rubber mallet, if you are still using a hammer on this small stuff, then damn.
