I opened a new package of smooth 710 3D blades today and noticed there was a single small hole on the leading edge of both blades perfectly centered on the balance point.

Is this normal for these blades?

must be how they are balanced.

I don't think so because there is a balance plug near the tip.

Its just my first set of V blades and I have never seen these holes in the leading edge before, but they do both have them and I'm gonna try em out

Those holes are standard on every pair of V-Blades I've owned, I always just assumed they were for the balance point? if not it's must have to do with how they make them.

The plugs in the end are for tip to tip balance

The leading edge holes are always there. I got my first set 3 years ago and they were there then too.

The holes could be there because of release points from the carbon fiber molds.
