OK - let's figure this thing out together - the power in numbers and all that!

I know settings will vary, and I know that the settings in the manual are just a good starting point, but between all of us we have some real world settings, and I'd like to find out, on average, what those settings are.

So, post your settings for your YS91 SR here, and I will keep a running average. After a couple days, we should get a pretty good idea of what the average settings are for this puppy, and people could use that as a real world starting point.

This is what is posted in the manual:

Low: 0.5 to .75
Mid (long needle): 1.5 to 1.75
Hi (short): .75 to 1.25

Mid Needle: 34 clicks = 1 turn.
Hi needle: 24 clicks = 1 turn.

The following is what I have on my 700N. It is a bit conservative (rich), and I know there is a bit of room for improvement, but it is running strong, and the temps on the head and backplate are good.

Low: 1 turn.
Mid: 1.25 turns.
Hi: 1 turn, +1 click.

So post those settings, and I'll keep a running average.

Hi Rock, I have a YS91SR in a Synergy - only had 2 tanks through it so I haven't started to move from the stock settings I'll be watching this thread with interest.
I use Magnum 30 with a Hatori SB 19

Col,
When you say 1.25 are you actually saying is like one hour and 25 minutes? or when you say 1.25 is that 1 turn and a quarter?

Sorry for the confusion but I get all scramble up with this all the time.

Or what about when someone says 1.75 is that 1 turn and 3/4(one hour an 45 minutes?)

Sorry dumb hour

LOL Col! thanks!

Rock,
I was looking to bring up a thread just like this one a few days ago but I was afraid of the tipical replays!
It is cool to know what the everage needle setting are for this engine.
So here ere mine using cool power 30%,
mid 1.5 (1 n half?)
high 1.1/4

Had it tune by Ray Nemovy a few weeks back (big thanks Ray) but I've been messing with the needles and think I messed them up trying to get rid of a little hanging on the pipe

Looking forward to see what other's setting are!

it would be great if you mentioned your altitude, and average relative humidity, otherwise someone might take the needle settings from someone in Denver, and attempt to use those settings in San Diego....LOL.

The + - clicks can be a little confusing.
7 clicks is a 1/4 turn on the SR and 3 clicks is about an 1/8 turn.
Here's the Running Average so far:

Mid: 1 1/4 turns + 7 clicks

Hi: 1 turn +3 clicks
Would be
Mid 1 1/2
High 1 1/8
