What 4s pack is everyone using? I'm thinking of going with the Outrage 2200's. I've seen others mention buying them and getting a discount on 3 or more packs but I can't find that online. Who was offering that deal?

Those look like the best to me. The cheap Zippies have a low burst rating, and are probably only ok for hovering.

I need some myself. Haven't found any discounts, but I will be searching myself.

you have obviously never flown a zippy cause that is a load of bs!!!

I have airthunder thunder power extreem and flight power batteries and none of them are as powerfull or hold up as well as a $25 zippy.

Well that may be if I find the right ones, but the 4S 2200 Zippies I saw so far were 20C and 25-30C burst. Not quite there.

If you have a specific 4S 2200 Zippy to recommend, please share.

I don't want to spend money for nothing, but I just spend a lot of money for the best, and sure don't want to offset that performance with cheap batteries.

most of the big brand batteries I have seen do not actualy do the rated discharge, like tp rates alot of theirs for 30c, that is a 2 in flight, lol a thunder power or outrage will never do that. the zippies actualy do though. I can drain a year old zippy in 3.5 min running 3200 headspeed on a 450 and put 2100 mah back in. and that is without taking the 3s battery below 11v.

here is the 4s pack you need

Item on Backorder.
It can take from 7 to 30 days for an item to be restocked.
Oh Well, I almost considered buying one myself...

I am using the zippy h's they are 25-35c and if someone wants to say that these don't have punch then they are blind. I can try to get a video or something but i need some parts first. These batteries rock, however I only get about 4 minutes of 100% throttle curve.

edit.. that link to the hobbycity battery above is what I'm using and they are awesome.

That zippy looks ok. I will give that one a try, when they get them back in.

Looks like for now, I will have to shell out $150 for a couple outrage. That or not fly the Rave when I'm done building.

Might as well get a couple then I can compare them to the zippy when they come in.

I like to argue, but I hope they work as well as outrage. $40 is better then $72 for a battery.

I haven't tried the outrage 4s but I have compared the zippy 3s with tp pro v2s and a outrage batts and the zippys have as much power if not more so I wouldn't expect any less out of the 4s. All I know is that my rave is a rocket and it drops peoples jaws.

I guess from the specs, the Zippy 4S is a bit heavier then the Outrage, but I ordered the tail boom servo mount, so that will take care of CG.

The bottom line is that all the stuff for my new Rave will be here Thursday and Friday.

I am a computer consultant that works in my basement, so I will be building while consulting, (pays for my RC habit), and I plan on having this little bird ready to fly by the 28th.

So I am going to launch $150 for a couple Outrage 4S 2200's, as there are no 4S Zippies..

I am going to order some 3S zippies for my wife's Blade 400, and I would imagine that I can use them on the Rave as I do the final mechanical setup in the backyard.

The good part, is that this forum is great. The information available is incredible.

I wish this was available in 1987 when I started. I would have bought a Shuttle rather then a Concept 30. But I still keep my C30's. Weird.

Now as I get into the little electrics, I know I bought the good stuff. Pretty Cool.

Now lets argue about something important, like JR vs Futaba.

Thanks for the info. I would like to try the Zippy's but they are not in stock. Who has the best price on the Outrage packs? Best I can find is $72.

Also, anyone have experience with those Chinese packs being sold on Ebay? They are also 25c and priced around $30 - $40.

Wow, those packs are nearly 100 grams heavier (270grams) than similar Flight power EVO packs. But 1/2 the price. But still, that is pretty heavy. I am referring to the 30.00 packs.

I wonder about the actual weight. On the top they list 240G. Then on the bottom bar 270G. Maybe the 270G is the battery in the packaging?
