I currently use 2 x 3s packs in my 500 electric and use the Cellpro 10s to charge them.

Question is on the Cellpro you can select charge as 1 pack or charge 2 packs.

I'm currently using the 2 pack option but find one battery charges fully before the other and then I have to charge that battery by itself for the remainder.

If I select 1 pack will it charge both packs so each cell is the same?

I thought every time you connect 2 packs to the 10S it charges them as 1 pack, the option you are refering to is for charging single packs or pairs.I do not think there is an option for charging pairs of packs as 1 or 2

if you are charging 2 packs together and flying them togther(as I do in my ATOM 500)they should be almost identical when they come out of the heli.are they starting with the same V at the beginnning of a charge?

sounds like there may be a problem with one of the batts

from the 10S manual
When charging two packs, the packs are connected in series using four electronic switches inside
the charger. In effect, the charger treats the two packs as a single pack. (For example, if you
connect a 3s pack and a 4s pack, the charger operates on them as one 7s pack.)

There is setting in the software for configuring a preset for "Single Pack". This is for charging packs over 5s.

Fender called this one. When running 2 packs in series, both packs should the same MAH and be as close as possible in condition and cycle life. If one pack is taking alot longer to charge or balance than the other, that would indicate the two packs aren't that close. Its also possible you are over discharging the packs. Stay above 20% remaining to help avoid the rapid and unpredictable voltage drop off that can occur on some cells within a pack.
If I select 1 pack will it charge both packs so each cell is the same?
Its possible this will help as all 6 cells with be balanced against each other. Instead of the cells in each pack only being balanced against the other cells in the pack. But you'd better off to address the underlying reason the packs voltages are different.
