I am setting up my CY ATG3 and would like to set it up on the gear channel/switch on my JR 9303 2.4g.
(All pitch curves are linear from zero to hundred)
(Throttle-Norm is linear, S1/2 set at 100/65/100)
When my switch is forward, In this position, I have the ATVs to zero
With the switch toward me (or back) I have the ATV's set at 100.
Just wondering if anyone else is using this switch to allow control of the governor mode.
Manual is not clear on switching, just thought I would ask for some feedback. I am looking for governor mode only and on/off ability, not that I need it, just good to know it's there if I need it!
I am running Gyro on Aux2 as per the JR manual for Gyro screen settings.
Thanks in advance for any input given.....

I don't know anything about ether one the TX or the gov but i would have it to where you can turn it off so you can tune the motor.

why dont you just enable the gov menu and use your flight mode switch to turn it on and off? You can have s1 as gov off and s2 as gov on and gov off in normal.
Just set the values for what you want. 0 being gov off

I have mine set in the function menu so the gear channel is for gov menu. I have mine on in all flight modes,1950 in normal and idle 1 and 2050 in idle 2. You could set idle 1 for gov off if you need it off for some reason.

DS8717 Thanks, while burning through the JR manual I found that on the gear switch I can activate the governor menu, So I have it set for zero in normal and 1950 in S1 and S2, now if gear switch is turned off (away) governor is non operational..
I am just looking for the flexibility to have the control over the governor so should I not want it I can turn it off...
Unlike if it's automatically on when you switch function modes.
Maybe after years of flying I've come to the point of "IF it's electronic it will fail" type thinking....
So by having the ability to turn it off I can fly (or test fly) my throttle curves in S1/2 should the governor/pickup/magnet ever fail and know I have them set correctly to bail out of the move I'm in..

On the ATG, you can couple the gov to the flight mode switch, and then setup a different mix on a different switch to zero out the channel on command, and shut down the gov in any flight mode if needed. The mix needs to be the channel back to itself, -100%, such that whatever value is there with the mix off turns to zero with the mix on . . .

Works very nicely, and still lets you use flight mode switching, and does not require that one flight mode be set of off on the gov.
