I am currently collecting components such as RX, VBAR, Muffler, RX battery, Regulator to start my Freya Flybarless Project.

I found that the extended metal ball from Lepton could just fit to main blade grip. It extends the ball simply to the center of the yoke. It should be called 6.5mm from the bottom of the stand to the centre of the ball. The total height of the ball is 8mm.

Nice update. That swash leveler tool comes in really handy. The swash level is right on the money. May I ask what kind of flybarless system are you going to use i.e. Mikado's V-Bar, CSM, or Skookum? Can't wait to see the final result and some flight videos.

This swashplate leveler is made for 600N. It makes all servos go with proper travels. I love it very much.

I had already bought the Mikado VBar which I shared with my friend who bought the Logo400 VBar combo ... wagaga... I told my wife I only shared a small bag of parts with my friend so she thought it was cheap.

One of my friend made the 88mm long pushrod for me. In fact, Hirobo makes 90mm rod(2522-011). I didn't know it before I asked my friend to help me out.

Now the FBL head is done.

Awesome! Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see this complete.

Besides the link rods and the V-bar what else have you bought or made for this set up?

Is it as simple as buying the V-bar and some link rods?

Sweet pick of the Logo and V-bar, is that you?

Thanks again

Yes, it's me in the pic.

In fact, there is nothing you need to make yourself.
Only 4 things you need to buy to make it flybarless.

1. VBAR.
2. 10mm washout from Logo400.
3. 90mm pushrod from Hirobo.
4. ball with stand (6.5mm) from Hirobo. (For Lepton's main blade grip)

Hello

The rods are way too long. They are more likely to buckle under load giving you tracking issues.

I would find a head that is lower to the main shaft which will also allow you to use shorter rods.

I also think the pushrod is a way too long but I would like to to try all original Hirobo parts first. I like Hirobo quality and I like its anodised blue.

I was thinking to lower the rotorhead but it just concerns me that if the lower level of yoke might make the main blades hit the boom during hard 3D flying. I think that's the one of the reasons why Hirobo make D3 has a lower boom.

When I can make it fly ok. I will try the D3's head on my Freya Evo90.

Your rod length is fine.

You may wish to consider light carbon fiber tubes to
epoxy on the pushrods, like on my coax.

It will perfectly solve the rigidity problem and they are super light.

Michael,
I was thinking to add the CF tube on the pushrod too. Did you still have the metal pushrod inside the CF tube? or you just simply use the Cf tube as a pushrod?

Many thanks,

Yes, pushrod is epoxied in the tube...

Simply light fit the cf tube to it, rough it(rod) with sandpaper,
and clean both surfaces, tube and rod with acetone.
Then epoxy it, clean ends with acetone and you are ready to rock.

Light and super rigid.
