John,

Why do you even bother posting. You wouldn't sell a mount with false claims but you will open you mouth about some 35min flight time on a eGSR and when I asked for some proof it turned into vaporware.

I'm sure your a great guy to hangout and have a beer with but your communication skills are horrible.

Here goes a thread that is going way off topic.

Okay, lets not start this war again, but John, tell me, this was only hovering, never had an issue with that.

Do you have any video in forward speed and no post?
Would love to compare it with mine so i can see what can be achieved...

To try and keep the thread on topic.

Here is a short boring ugly useless clip from today. Its a AF Mini Pro 1 with bungee cord method and the gimbal locked (NO self leveling). I'm testing adjustments on the roll axis of the DJI XP 3.1 in forward flight with an underslung mount.

I just used iMovie 09 stabilization option. Nothing special. At the very end I left the abrupt "jerk" in so you can see the stabil flag waving effect.

That looked quite okay, but since we cant see the original file before youtubes degrading, how much in your opinion do you think you lost in resolution in a scale from 1 to 10 after imovie here?

I can't imaging selling a mount you need to use post stabilization to have an end product you could sell.
Who says PS1 mounts "Need" to use post? Only you have thus far. There are raw clips on our Vimeo account that show the PS1 front mounts in action with zero post stabilizing.

You're attempting to put PS1 products in a bad light and you are propagandizing with delusive information.

Those shots were stabilized because it was high end work and the producers would have never accepted it unless it appeared to be shot from a crane. That requires extreme stability. There's a difference between shooting local smash up derby racing and footage that will be shown nationally.

The raw footage from the PS1 stuff is every bit as good as your Saturday night crash derby footage.

I could have never mentioned I stabilized the footage in that thread but that would be false advertising and misleading. Something PS1 will NEVER be a part of.
Basically our R&D must not have worked if post is need to remove vibrations in the video
ummm.... post stab is not for removing vibrations in the helicopter. who told you that?

And why must you insist on coming in this thread to propagandize where I provided a legitimate post to answer Dayonta's question?

1 being the lowest, probably a 1 or 2 for that clip. The camera is a Panasonic LX3 in video mode shooting 720p.

For that clip. I have a lot more that is nowhere close to lossless. Video is a PITA. Every time I dabble in it I gain more and more respect for the ones who can do it well.

Of course, recently getting a Mac has made a night and day difference in work flow etc...

Wendell was on the 93 USA World Championship team. I don't think he sucks anywhere near as much as he might be leading on. You don't make that team if you suck at all.

He just got a New Pro1 lite without the KS-2. This is why I posted.

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t497739p1/

The mount was designed to be used with the Kenyon KS-2 to give customers the ability to shoot great video in almost any conditions.
IMU/gyro's can't compete with a physical gyro holding the camera.

Kenyon has been leading the way for image stabilization for over 15 years now. Why wouldn't everyone just go to servo's with gyro's or and IMU?

Great pilots can shoot great video, Great editors/producers can fix and hide mistakes to produce great video, The common guy that wants to shoot really great quality video can use all the help the AF mount can give him. This is the design philosophy behind the Pro1 and Pro1Lite camera mounts.

In the end..............no stabilizing software will be able to keep up with really agressive flying, panning, or flying close to large objects. Plus, who would want to pay for that anyway.

Slow flight, slow pans, no big turns or cranks, meeelllllllooowwwwww is best.

Just to leave here some results obtained from a photohigher underslung cameramount, using a canon G9 in video mode, and not using any kind of stabilization. No cam operator also used,

We used our costum build based 90 nitro size helicopter.
