Ok so I bought a 450XL awhile back that had a few upgrades done to it, well the screws that hold the tail shaft ended up being stripped out and after a couple weeks of flying they wouldn't hold the tail boom tight anymore so I decided to replace the frame. I had a 3K carbon look frame from Align. I just spent the last couple of evenings swapping everything over and fired her up again this evening to track the blades. I flew it for a few minutes, did my adjustments and kept going. I had landed, adjusted, and taken off again 3 maybe 4 times when all of a sudden she started to shake, like wobble side to side a little. I figured something was out of whack and went to land again. Before I could get it back on the ground the frame snapped in half!!!! Both sides.....just behind the upper main shaft bearing, through the middle of the lower bearing hold, and then under the ESC. Needless to say I'm a little ticked and not sure what to think. I thought maybe I tightened screws too much and caused a fracture of something but with where this thing broke and the fact that it went through both side from top to bottom I have a hard time thinking I did it during the build. Anyone had any issues with this frame?? Any ideas on what happened??
