As I search through all of the stores online, I see that some flybars ar below the main blades and some are above. If any, what are the advantages and dissadvantages to each design? Does it really make any difference either way? Should this be considered when purchasing a new heli???

its just design preference.. the only choice you really should be worrying about is flybarred.. or flybarless =D

Don't sweat it, when you're inverted it's backwards anyways

If the flybar's on top, it's easier to land on the head button

LOL Thanx guys. I didnt think it mattered. I like the look of the flybar on top so I am looking at that design. I especially like the SJM 450. Weird looking thing. But very cool in my opinion. I will post a new thread about this heli to see what everyone thinks.

Have you looked at the designs that had the flybar in the same plane as the rotor blades? Look at the Kyosho Concept line of helicopters.

No I had not seen those. I googled it. They look nice. Probably looks good in flight too with all the blades on the same plane. thanks for the idea

Don't waste too much of your time. The Concept line of helicopters has been out of production for a while. Their design was "good" for the time with a "coning" head and flapping blades. It is not the design of modern helicopters.

Sent you a PM.
