I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as IT sees fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my rear end that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

OK you are sick and that is that

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I beleive it is all a scam and the govt and oil companies are all in on it. BTW what is 4% when the economy relies on it and it is consumed by EVERY American?
I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

The rules are not made for 98% of the population, they are made for the 2% who take advantage of it. Total freedom of speech does not exist no matter what President is in office or who controls congress. Don't beleive me.......next time you get on an airplane, yell "I have a bomb" and see hoe freely your speech will be stopped

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

And if we stay will they stop? Apparently not and once again, if we were not dependent on the region for oil, we would not even care who blew up who and who kills who. Proof: Genocide happens today in Africa and why don't we care......We don't have as much $$$$ to lose there as we do in the oil regions.
I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

See number 3

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

Global warming is happening, we just don't know if it is cyclical or we are causing it. Either way, does it really hurt to get away from the dependency of oil that has caused us SO MUCH CRAP over the years?

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I am pretty sure YOU can't have a baby, so who are you to decide on what women do with their bodies? You don't want to be told what to be done with a gun when it is used to KILL........what is the difference? OK how about this, no more abortions, no more guns......fair right

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as IT sees fit.

Redistribution happens NO MATTER WHO IS IN OFFICE. Where do you think the money for the war is coming from????? The gov't prior though it was ok to redistribute OUR DOLLARS in order to destroy, rebuild, and revive another countery while ours suffers! It is called TAXES and they will always exist.....period.
Small businesses, large businesses should be allowed to make as money as they possibly can BUT then they have a responsibility to take care of the peole who got them there......the workers. When they don't and lay people off in order to pay HUGE bonuses to the top level personnel and then accept STIMILUS MONIES to boot, then they should be regulated.
Every body cries about unions but without them, business would NEVER re-distribute the wealth (pay higher wages and provide benefits) and the worker would suffer. There was a reason unions got started in the first place and it was NOT because the workers were treated fairly.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

All Liberal, Conservative, On the fence, Bipolar, WETF judges do it! which is why we need defined terms for them insted of serving until they die!

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my rear end that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

This seems a little one sided so I guess that applies both ways

"A Liberal is a person who will give away everything they don't own."

Who said that? Did you make it up or did your daddy Rush say it

I am not "Liberal" by any means but I do think it is stupid to say the Liberals or the Conservatives are the sole reason for anything. There are just as many bad people on BOTH sides of the fence, it helps if you can stand back and see both sides.
My post was not meant to be one sided but meant to show there is another side to the story and NOBODY is always right.........Ron

So, are you trying to say that the gun laws are not there because of most of the population, but the small percentage of criminals? If so, please explain how passing more gun laws is going to stop people who by definition do not follow laws?
I am pretty sure YOU can't have a baby, so who are you to decide on what women do with their bodies? You don't want to be told what to be done with a gun when it is used to KILL........what is the difference? OK how about this, no more abortions, no more guns
He can't have a baby so that excludes him from caring about the unborn? And how on earth can you compare, or equate murdering babies to our constitutional right to keep and bear arms?

I am saying the reason we have gun laws is this:
When we were first allowed to have guns (WAYYYY back ) There were very few laws governing them. Over time that 2% of the people (some were criminals some weren't) decided to take things a little too far when it came to how those guns were used. Eventually, people could not carry guns in town, then you had to be a certain age to buy one, then you had to get a background check, and so on. The laws piled up over time because some jack a$$ decided it would be ok to do something stupid with a gun that 98% of us would not even consider doing.
He can't have a baby so that excludes him from caring about the unborn? And how on earth can you compare, or equate murdering babies to our constitutional right to keep and bear arms?
My point is you can't have it both ways. You can't ask the Govt to decide how and when a woman can have or terminate a pregnancy and on the other hand ask them to allow people to carry the very weapons that people use to kill on a daily basis.
I was not comparing the two, I was simply stating that either you ask the Govt to decide for you, and deal with the consequences of that, or you ask them to stay out of the way (Which BTW will NEVER happen) and let each person decide for themselves...............Ron

I don't see how you can compare killing children in the womb to our Constitutionally guaranteed right of bearing arms. Why have laws protecting anybody if we can't protect the helpless and inocent from being exterminated just because their birth would be inconvenient?
As for the mothers "choice" why don't we give the father the "choice" of killing the mother if her being pregnant is inconvenient?
See how rediculous this gets if you leave it up to "choice".

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

You sir are mistaken. I agree with some of the things said in the original post, I just wanted to show another side of the story.
I was saying (for the second time) that rules are made because people take things too far and that usually equates to 2% of the people out there. Laws whether good or bad were made (for the most part) because someone took it too far. SO NOW we have to deal with them or change them.
I am not equating on bad to another, I am simply saying that the govt will be into EVERYTHING and you can't have it both ways......Ron

And you just avoided the question that I quoted. How does abortion and the right to keep and bears arms compare? They are two different things. Comparing them toghter like that is wrong off base and just plain a typical libs response when that question is asked. I have asked that same question myself of some libs I know here that I fly with and they skirt the question they all say the same thing and go over it again and never once answer the question all typical of libs. So in my answer to the posters question I am not mistaken at all I am going by my experience in life here and in politics you see in the news rags and on the boob tube. I never said you did or didnt agree with the OP post I just answered the one posters question with my opinion nothing more nothing less. I know why and how a lot of these rules come into effect and came about most are complete stupid things and should be chocked up to commen sense but that is where the problem lays. Nodays the majority dont seem to want to take responsibitly for thier own actions and wont be a leader and do things themselves they want someone to tell them what to do.
