He has a DX7 that he can still use until he's done with the transition.

I will go with the 12FG better.

Just my opinion.
Doug.

I favor the 12FG too. I found there is no point in getting a 10C after owning a 9C, not much is new. I just plain dislike using a DX7. Is ok for what it is, an entry level Tx.

OICU812,I have to take back what i told you about the futaba with not RF. I cranked my gasser up for the first time today using a Fasst 14ch 2.4 RX and i was getting very bad glitching in the throttle servo only. I have never since Fasst came out ever seen a glitch but you might know i had to post that now i'm having to eat it,when i cranked it up the throttle servo would jump back and forth very fast and then stop then do it again. The only thing i can think of that might have caused this is i have a aluminum fuel cut off and i have it tie wrapped to the carbon frame and with the little bit of vibration i was getting was causeing it to jump. The fact is i don't know i just hope that was it as thats an easy fix. I have not done a range check on it yet because i was not going to fly it i was just wanting to crank it up and maybe spool it up. So i guess the answer is yes to your question fasst has RF problems too. I don't mind telling you the truth i'm not that much of a die hard futaba man,i just tell it like i see it.

Thanks hope you can make your mind up,but if i were you i would stay spektrum.

Could it be a worn servo pot?

It's a brand new servo.

great feedback people, thank you. Last one,,,, is the 10S not faster then the 12? I understand the 10 is less capable in programming, but I want the fastest radio they have in regards to latency and true 2048 resolution.

The 10C is a nice radio and it does 2048 so it should be just as fast as the 12FGH TX. I setup a friend of mines Trex NSP on his 10C the other day and it pretty easy to use, it's almost a carbon copy of the 9C with very little differences. If you insist on a change then i would get nothing less than the 12FGH,i like the programming a little better than the 10C because it has a lot more opitons than the 10 but with all those options it does take a little more time to learn. I like the 12Z better but it cost twice as much for not that much more options. The joystick on the 10C and the 12Z make it a very fast radio to scroll thru. All the 12FGH has is a rotary dial which take a little more time to scroll thru the menus, but it's still pretty fast to setup.Just buy what you want because you will hear a lot of different opinions on this post as what to get. Good luck on your choice.

Thanks

Alright Shawn,
I just took the 10C plunge. You're next. (what did you decide on btw?)
went with the 10CHP dual antenna model because I have a few old micro indoor airplanes that still use 72mhz. Nice to receive two rx's with the radio too from the special they have going!

Will likely have a 7C 2.4 up for sale soon.
