FlyingHigh450:

The # of models for download is deceiving. A lot of models need the appropriate expansion pack for that particular model you want to download. If you don't have the expansion pack, the model for download won't work.

Ultimately what I found is that the majority of the models were basically user created, and many of them flew horribly, not to mention that most of the downloads are actually paint schemes. Let's move on to the flying fields. Those were ok for the most part, but almost all of them lacked collision detection with objects (user created ones).

The radio batteries are non issue. You won't need extra's. Your radio does not use much power on the sim. If you are killing batteries like crazy then GET OUT AND FLY! YOU'RE INDOORS TOO MUCH

This is the problem here when people claim a product is better than the other, most have little to no experience with the product and claim to know. Most if not all comments about stuff here on RR is purely opinions with not much fact.....not directed at you FlyingHigh450, just an observation.

In the end buy with confidence whichever sim you decide on....

If you fly on the sim like I do,2-3 hrs a day,4-5 days a week you need extra batterys. My buddy has both sims and Phoenix is just as good as RF,I like them both but I dont like the ideal of putting wear on my heli radio and dont have any problems with the heli's ive downloaded. If there to snappy/fast I change the settings just like you would with the real deal.I did download 2 helis that had problems but uninstalled them and downloaded the same heli from another user with out issues.I like practicing alot on the sim so battery's would be a must for me.

Horizon has my tail servo and its going to be another week (soo stressed) but once I get it,the videos will be rolling in .Please dont think im bashing Phoenix cause its a awesome sim but realflight is just as good and I dont have to use my radio and battery/'s .

I didn't think you were bashing. I did not mean to imply that. I agree, both sims are equal imo, with some pluses for one versus the other..

I dont think you were saying I was bashing.I put that in there cause theres that hand full of people that will try and twist what you say,so im learning to put the "Please dont think im bashing XXXX".One thing I do wish is the Realflight TX has, a setting menu like our real radio's so I dont have to go to the realflight setting and change everything but its the same as doing it through the radio, just takes a few sec's more.
