Man that was a bad crash. Just remember Throttle Hold if the tail starts a spinnin'. I've heard of tail pitch sliders unthreading themselves if not checked for loctite.

Yo George. Yep the 250 is flying. Thanks to Fillmoe. He set it up for me. I was flying it all day today at work in an empty warehouse. I actually flew it out at the parking lot, too. That thing is fast! I bought some cheap batteries from Hobby King ($9 per battery). It is pretty stable for a small heli. Trying to see if there is a better set of blades for it, though.

Anyone know any other carbon fiber blades besides the Align? Too bad I won't be able to make it to the MI field this coming weekend. I will be there the following weekend before my overseas trip again. I will make sure to bring it so you guys can try it out. It is lots of fun.

can't remeber if it was readyheli or helidirect but one of them had another brand of cf blades for the 250 for $15.

Thanks Majestic12. You got me interested with the 250 when I saw you flying it. I just flew it again today. Luckily for me I landed it safe. I noticed that the main shaft was moving up and down. The retaining collet was not secured. I could have stripped the gears. This thing sure is fast! I wanted to fly it as much as possible as I need to loosen up the ball links. Fillmoe said they are a bit tight still. I don't think they make a ball link sizer that small.

I checked Helidirect. They do have the CF blades.

Mik.

Hey Critters. I will surely bring the 250 next time I'm in MI. I'm bummed I can't join in this weekend. I have to attend a graduation party for my nephew in Rancho Sante Fe. But definitely will be there the following weekend.

Hey Mik.,
I think its a bad heli. I think you need a new one. But I'll take it off you're hands and risk it...LOL...

A-Main hobbies carries cheep blade's for it as well. I beleive they are the same as the Helidirect one's.

I don't crash... I land with style

You can make a link sizer easy with the spares that come with the kit. I took a spare ball and threaded it on to the spare frame spacer as a tiny handle. Then using a new exacto knife, scored 4 sharp lines vertically on the ball. The scores on the ball are just enough to size the links. Sizing the links makes all the difference in the world with the little 250.

I've been flying the living daylights out of my 250 and love it. Its the perfect in between from the sim to re life flying. Even pounding it into the pavement twice in the span two weeks and 42 flights, its still cheaper to fly and crash than to put fuel in my 700!

Hopefully I can make it back to island soon and fly with you guys again.

Hi Majestic12 - Thanks for the suggestion for the ball link sizer. I will try that. Yes, I am beginning to like flying the 250.

I am gonna buy more batteries for this heli. So far I have 7. I am enjoying it so much that 7 is not enough.

Yeah, keep flying with us.

Thanks DMan. I will try that out, too. The parts are so small, it seems it may ruin the plastic links. I have flown it about 10 times today. It's getting better. The first time I flew it yesterday, it was very twitchy and touchy. Now it is beginning to get more smooth to fly it.

Oh man, I just ordered some parts from Helidirect. I wish I'd seen these so I could have included them on my order. I got more CF blades and a Canomod canopy.

Ferdz - Ha ha ha. Size still does matter. Nothing beats the feel of a .90 size. I will still fly the Raptor 90. But man, this sure is handy when you just want to fly something quickly. I had at least 10 flights again today.

Mel - Wait till you get to fly this heli next Saturday. I bet you'd get one, too. He he he.
