You want more Jam, throw a 1400 scorpion in there, but expect some loss in flight time, the 1400 is a more powerfull motor over the 1600,
Explain how this is true? I just picked up a 1400 and you get way less HS on it, at least on the HS calculator. Are you supposed to up the pinion on the 1400 from a 1600?
Running 15T on a 1600 now.

Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

Yes you bump up to a bigger tooth count pinion, and then it is about max watts, as I stated earlier, you have to have a good pack behind it or it will not fly any better. The 1400 will pull more amps out of your pack faster, getting the pack hotter and reducing your flight time, can your pack deliver?

Scorpion motor

The 1400KV is a more powerful motor....the KV is only one of the factors you need to consider when building the "right" system.

You need to take KV...voltage...and desired headspeed into account to achieve the "proper" gearing for your setup...you also need to consider whether you want a governed or not governed setup...Honestly...I have found that the Scorpions make more power and run much better when governed...

I am running a Neu 1905H (1350kv) on 6s in my trex 500 Flybarless machine...and I am running the 17t right now to get a governed headspeed of 2900rpm's

I am running a Scorpion 4020-1100kv in my logo 10 ...on 6s....

I tried running it on a 100% straight throttle curve....and then regeared and governed it for the same target headspeed......the governed setup is WAYY more powerful

Hello !

I have a question:
Someone has tried Scorpion HK3026-1210KV on a t-rex 500 with 6S? With those teeth? 6S better?

I bought it and I think I was wrong to buy it with so few KV.

Thank you and sorry for my English ... I'm from Spain.

I think you're better off getting another motor or running it as a 8S with a 14T pinion.

But it will have sufficient strength with 17 teeth? I mean ... OK, I will have 2800rpm but with little power, no?

By the way, where they sell this motor?
How many kilowatts it?
I'ma little confused by the issue of the engines ...
What matters is the parameter to choose a motor? Power? Consumption? both? (assuming that compared with the same two engines KV)

Neu 1905H/1.5y
Price 125$
KV 1350
Max Power 1000 W
Max Amp (15sec) 40A

Scorpion 3026-1210
Price 75$
KV 1210
Max Power 1365 W
Max Amp (15sec) 65A

Viewing these data it seems to me the best scorpion, but if you say it is better is because the neu surely there is something I am overlooking.

Thanks for replys

NEU VS. Scorpion...

I thought the Scorpion would be more power as well...according to the stats...but it's just not the case...

I flew the 2 setups back to back and my 6s NEU powered setup SMOKES the Scorpion 1400KV....

I will post some vid ...just for reference...

Anthony

OICU812...believe it or not...the NEU is only 20 grams heavier than the Stock motor...

I am running a 17t governed at 3000 on the Castle 85hv

The 1905 is not needed, the 1706 only weighs 5.6 oz or so and it puts out much more power than the Align motor. Also the 1706 fits much better. If you are going to pay 75 for a Scorpion motor the money would be better placed towards a Neu, just pick one up and you will see the quality differance and will be amazed at the performance.
