what about 9256 as throttle

I checked both pages and only one of You use a tail servo as throttle (8900);I have a new 611 with corresponding FUTABA s9256 but I am buying a BLS251 so, I wonder if a 9256 will be a good throttle servo?.

I am planning on using a JR Rx 7100.

im no exspert on this and im sure some people wont agree with me but this is what i found
last season i thought i needed a fast throttle servo i used a jr ds8717 on the throttle the match the rest but all it did was work so fast it just chuck fuel out of the carb air intake as the engine can only burn so much and get so much air
running this in the vibe 50 every time i got home i had fuel drips at the bottom of the fan shroud where fuel came out the carb ran down the fan shroud and drips formed at the bottom took me ages to work out now use a slower one fut 3050 12 sec at 6v now all is fine
spec running v curv the throttle is already half open or more so going say from -10 to +10 the throttle servo only has to move half the distance to the pitch servo and even less on a gov
like i said im no exspert but i know the fuel on the fan shroud went away when fitted a slower servo

Mancha,

The 9256 will work great as throttle servo if you are using a governor that can take a narrow PW servo. The TJ Pro Gov can in "super servo" mode and so can the MultiGov Pro. Your headspeed will be a bit more constant.

If you're running curves only, I don't see the point in using the 9256. Save it for tail duty on another heli.

more constant headspeed?

I challenge anyone to show me a model engine going from 0 to WOT and back to 0 in 0.06 seconds and do anything else than just a "brrr...GLUP...brrr"

I use FUTABA governor on all my models.

I spoke with a Mexican Pro yesterday and He told me a 9256 will not work properly, or at all, when not used through it´s gyro.

Thrut is, I usually use HITEC fast servos on my throttle but I ran out of and, I did not want to take one out from my airplanes.

I do have two other 611s in a FREYA & VIBE 50 so; I will follow your recommendation and save it for a rainy day.

I believe in not using a slow servo on throttle, I have seen helis going sort of on-off because they are too slow for a governor, funny noise that personally bothers me !

Nevertheless, I appreciate all your inputs to my question.

Saludos !

At least you could read the GV-1 instructions... it drives ANY servo at .21 seconds no matter how fast your servo specs are...

If you can tell a diference between a fast servo like a 9254 and an old criple like a 3152 then hats off to you.

I certainly can't and I removed every 9254 I had on my bird's throttle control and moved to slower servos to fix the engine 'lag' you can definitely feel when you use an agressive governor and a fast servo (not grandma's GV-1)

Does S3152 need any adapter or drilling extra holes to fit and can you run it on 6V?
