hi people,

just spent the evening gettin the 200 together, just programmed everything and gone to spool it up for a little test and the motor just judders a couple times then cuts off

i thought it might be reversed so changed a couple wires around on the ESC and the motor then works fine but goes backwards

its probably something stupid but i just cant get it right any ideas

it seem to be working ok, as in right way round,

its almost like the motor is not sure which way to turn, so it jumps forward and backwards then just stops

It must be the ESC will only run the motor one way, so it must be bad.

they will probably send you a new one. there are several others that will work. the castle creations 10 amp works good, even the align would do.

hope you get it fixed soon.

Try and moving the motor to its farthest position away from the main gear . Let it (freewheel) spin without engaging .Run it up to full throttle and back down a few times .

I had that happen once when I did a grip flip .I had it 10 degrees neg pitch , on the ground .I overheated the esc I guess . Give it a try and let me know .

Its the motor, a wire(red, blue, black, who knows) probably came off and will cause "bugging" of the motor.

If its not that, send the ESC and Motor in for repair, unless you want to take it apart.

I've had good luck with the stock motor, but if your set on another motor the z-power 5150 works well. However if you have the v1 200, the 12A esc, is borderline. Their new 18A is very effective with that motot from what i have seen/heard.
