Bought the $30.00 Screwz set for the T-Rex 250. Turns out they are not A2-70/A4-80 Stainless Steel Screws(Button, Socket & Countersunk Heads) Set Screws, Nuts & Washers as advertised. Ran the video magnet test and the Screwz fasteners failed. Stainless fastners from MicroFasteners.com passed with flying colors.http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...3#post11218686
A2-70/A4-80 Stainless Steel Screws are in the Austenitic stainless steel category which contain higher amounts of chromium and nickel than the other types. They are not hardenable by heat treatment and offer a high degree of corrosion resistance. Primarily, they are nonmagnetic. In plain words these should not be attracted by a magnet.
The owner of SCREWZ will consider refunding my money if I return them, but I don't want to let go of the evidence that will go to the US Commerce Dept. This guy is in the total denial mode and even implied that I put other peoples fasteners in the container to scam him out of a refund. I am certain that the margin of profit that SCREWZ has been enjoing on these sets is outrageous.
