I am stumped, I finally got my heli flying nice video on my small Sony A1P HDV camera but after installing the latest Adobe premier pro cs4 I cannot seem to capture the hdv video. It will only allow me to capture down converted dv. Does anyone else have this problem other than me??

My second problem is I want to run it through the virtual dub deshaker so I set it all up as instructed but the output file is always 4.3 aspect and not 16.9 widescreen as captured. I have tried all the settings that they allow but I cannot deshake and keep it as 16.9 it reverts to the square 4.3 aspect. Does anyone have similar problems and is anyone willing to share their settings with me please?

What editing software do you all use for your hdv editing? and do you use the virtual dub deshaker?

Can anyone offer any advice please.

Stephen

Are you using the trial version of PremPro CS4? If not there should be a preset for Sony HDV 1080i when you start your project. Also HDV is 1440x1080 so make sure you have 1.33 for pixel size.

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks for that it is the trial version and it has p[resets for P2 but now other HDV so I guess this is why.

Any ideas on how to keep the 16.9 aspect when de-shaking it?

Thanks Stephen
