I'm using a AR7100r and rev limiter with a DX7, I dont have a tach, is anyone else using this set-up tell me what value they have on their gear setting for their headspeed and what is your headspeed? I know there may be some small differences but I want to ball park it until I get to the field and have a friend tach it for me. I can hover and trim in my back yard.
Thanks
Steve

I wish I could help but limiters arn't just my thing. Don't take this wrong but thats the main reason I don't use them. Needing a tach to check headspeed... this is the 21st century. We can program those things before hand.

Anyway and because I'm a really nice guy ( ), let me tell you that the 7100R has a revmax heart inside which means you can use the manual of the revmax to get the approximate values of the headspeed you want. Remember that atv values are Tx dependend which means that 57% on a Futaba system isn't the same as 57% on a JR or Sanwa(airtronics) system. If I remember correctly, you can get the revmax manual from model avionics website and should list a table with the approximate values to use on atv.

Remember that the vibe has an 8.7 ratio so if you want say 2000 rpm on the head, you want to program 2000*8.7 = 17400 through the atvs.

Good luck

Tony

I am using the 7100R on my Vibe 50. I am using 95 in the gov menu of my 9303... although I haven't tached it to check the headspeed. It isn't anything crazy (I would guess somewhere around 2100).

Actually I have an AR7100R I used the manual to set but the RPMs were a lot lower so I had to use a tach. Anyway I love the RevMax and I use it with a 100-80-100 curve, the OS50 like to revs.

As anything in life, with one half of the governors on the market you set the RPMs with your radio and the other half with some screen, both have advantages with one you don't need the tach with the other you don't need the screen and having to go back to the table when tuning the RPM

P.S: I love my MultiGov Pro also but I had to fiddle a lot more with the parameters to avoid overspeed on a TT53 and I think that on my YS50 sometimes underspeed.
