I was looking for something challenging to do with my new Blade MCX. It was taking too much energy to find that, so I dropped back to looking for something marginally interesting to do with a Blade MCX. So, I finally found something that almost met that objective...

If you land a Blade MCX in a medium sized oval shaped garden tub, you get a cool demo of a ring vortex and mini-challenge that might keep you from yawning for a few minutes while you fly your Blade MCX. The trick is to fly it back out. Once the air starts swirling around the tub walls and around on top of the hel... hel... hel... no I just can't call it a heli, so... the toy, it struggles to break free of the air torus it's flying in. Then when you go full power and it finally gets out of its own down draft, it shoots towards the ceiling.

Try it yourself. Anybody have any other ideas that don't involve M-80s that make this little autonomous-floaty Blade MCX thingy more fun.

i have many nitros i must say that the mcx is a blast i put some clay in the tip of the nose and it gives it a little more forward flight. fun to chase the kids around and i have the glow in the dark kit and man what a blast in the dark i also try landin on fan blades all in all i think its a great little in house heli.

I simply refuse to tippy toe through life just to safely arrive at death.

Oh, you must have misunderstood my sarcasm. I agree. The MCX is fun. Landing it on the kids heads. Flying in a small room with the ceiling fan running full blast. There are plenty of thing that can make it fun, but just like any toy, it requires some imagination.

Just started flying mine today with the grandson sitting on my lap. At 2 1/2, he likes crashing the sim, so teaching him to not stir the sticks will be a bit challenging.
But I have to say the little thing flies fantastic out of the box. Doing low altitude backwards circuits around the kitchen this morning.
