Just put athe new TT smoothy pipe on my .53 today and haveing problems starting it.It always cranked right over befor,I'm wondering if I need to mess with the high or low end because of the pipe change???

Can't see any reason why you should have to alter the needles just to get the engine to start. Obviously you will have to trim them to get the optimin when running. Mine started stright up on factory settings, but then needed final adjustment. Did you put the spacer in place the right way round? The taper in the hole should be against the engine giving the gasses a smooth flow in to the pipe. I suppose it is possible with the spacer the wrong way round there could be to much back pressure
