ok i just got my first helicopter for christmass and i have a couple questions for the batteries.
1. does charging the battery with a 12v battery go faster then using an AC wall outlet?
2. how many time can you charge a 100mAh 7.4v lipo battery off 1 12v battery?
3. right now i have 1 battery and charger, should i get 2 more batterys and chargers or should i get one charger and 3 batteries?
4. can i buy different batteries as long as they have the same mAh and V if it is a differant size length and with wise?
5.can i charge two different batteries as once with two different chargers while using the same 12v battery?
6.i found some brand new batteries on ebay for like $10 would you advise against it or would they be ok?
i know it is alot of questions but any help would be greatly appreciated thank you very much

1. does charging the battery with a 12v battery go faster then using an AC wall outlet?
That would depend on the charger, or chargers that you have. But generally, no.
2. how many time can you charge a 100mAh 7.4v lipo battery off 1 12v battery?
Again, that would depend on alot of different things. A little more info about what you have would be a big help.
3. right now i have 1 battery and charger, should i get 2 more batterys and chargers or should i get one charger and 3 batteries?
I would recommend 1 good charger and as many batteries as you need
4. can i buy different batteries as long as they have the same mAh and V if it is a differant size length and with wise?
As long as the battery will fit properly, and is close in weight, then you should be ok.
5.can i charge two different batteries as once with two different chargers while using the same 12v battery?
Yes.
6.i found some brand new batteries on ebay for like $10 would you advise against it or would they be ok?
do some research on the batteries before buying from ebay. Sometimes there are good deals. and sometimes NOT.

Hell... I can fix that.

thank you that alone is very helpfull.
as for more info on my battery and charger, they are the ones that came with it the charger or balancer is blue with an orange label that says 202-bc if that says anything
the battery is a 2cell 7.4v 1000mAh lipo battery. if you go to ebay and type in "7.4v 1000mAh lipo battery" it is the black and silver one.

about the one charger...
i was thinking about doing that but the only thing is that i don't know how it would be fly time compared to charge b/c i would still have to wait and charge each battery that is why i was thinking either 3chargers and batteries so i would have same charge time but with 3 time as much fly time.

Example...

With 1 good charger and 4 batteries.

Start with all batteries charged. Fly the first pack, then change to the second pack and charge the first. then, when the second is dead, fly the 3rd. By the time you're done with the 3rd, the first should be done charging........

Hell... I can fix that.

Again, that depends on what you want.

For a good charger that will do what you need right now, $40 to $60.

And they go up from there.

Hell... I can fix that.

Welcome to RR, What Heli did you get for Christmas?

George did well with the answers so I don't have anything to add other then too, Have Fun.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I can add something. Sorry not battery related, but when you are sick of fixing and replacing parts, might want to consider a good computer simulator. Especially if you want to stick with the hobby. A little expensive for the initial purchase. But as soon as you hit the reset button and start flying again you will realize how much that button just save you in your wallet.

another add -

take some time to search the site when you have new questions. As stated, there is a ton of good info here. I remember when I started I could spend hours reading on various subjects, and I learned a lot! All without posting questions. (of course posting allows the community to get to know you!)
