thanks to both of you. Does anyone have any experience with the RCAerodyne products? They look pretty exciting! Also, thier 5 blade rotorhead ad says that it doesn't need 3 axis gyro. Does anyone know how they do it?

My EC-135 (500 size) is inbound. I'll post some comments/pics when I get it. As to the five blade head, scale multi-heads can be made to fly without e-stabilization. Most of the reason is in the weighting of the main rotor blades at the tip forward edge.

Boyd have you gotten your EC135 yet? I'm curious what you think of it. If so, how long is it? Thanks!

Received the EC-135 fuselage yesterday and I am very impressed. The fuselage is nicely finished epoxy glass which is sturdy but light weight. It is designed to fit the T-Rex 500 and the JR Super Voyager, but I feel that it could be adapted to a number of other '500' size helis on the market. Just about everything you need to turn out a respectable EC-135 model is included. I'm adding a lighting system and since I am so impressed with the finish on this model, I'm going to have a custom set of CNC vinyl markings cut by Callie at http://www.callie-graphics.com/

I also bought the CNC four blade head that includes the SP and swash follower. They arrived with a blue anodized finish. Not something you want for your scale project, but I always disassemble, degrease, prime and paint in a correct color, so this was not a show stopper for me. I'm just glad to have a four blade head that fits an 8mm shaft for this project. It appears to be the V2 design form Lightning Heli, but I may be wrong about that. The dome Euro Red finish is a DIY item.

I have only good things to say about the product and the level of customer service provided by Cliff and Patrick at RC AeroDyne Models. They have responded immediately to all questions and they have face to face visits with their supplier in China.

Initially I will be flying this heli with the stock T/R that sits just outboard of the fenestron duct. Then when I finish my home built fenestron or RC AeroDyne has their fenestron available, I'll retrofit for the final touch.

I just got home from The Northwest Model Expo and got to see the complete lineup of fuses they sell . They are very good quality and I was impressed with the detail in the fuse right down to the rivites .
I bought the Bell 206 for one of my Trex 450s and a Lighing heli 5 blade head for my other Trex 450 MD 530 ........I think I am going back tomorrow to get the 5 blade head for my one of my 50 sized MD530.

Anyone know where I can buy the Align Airwolf Bodies for the 500 in the United States? have they been released yet?

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

EC-135 Trex 500

Hoverup how is that EC-135 coming along? I hope to be ordering mine in about 3 weeks along with the heli itself. I was looking at the pictures you posted and trying to figure out how to access the batteries.

I am either going to fab a supporting ring interface that allows removal of the windscreen and cockpit details as a module or I am going to enlarge the vent hole in the bottom of the fuselage to allow loading batteries. Have not decided yet.
