I am interested in going flybarless on my T-Rex 600ESP and would like to keep my shiny blue metal blade grips. Seeing that the skookum unit has adjustable phasing, could you just set up the linkages to be perfectly straight with the stock grips and adjust the phasing the appropriate number of degrees to account for the swash not being 90 degrees to the head? If that is not possible, do you know anyone that offers a longer ball link for the stock metal grips to make it align with the center of the shaft?

yes if you get the mechanics right you could use them. Remeber they are only as strong as their weakest link. I would design that link to be something cheap and easy to fix. or use a 3dx. heeh . good luck bro.

dfrazier,

I am not sure about the 600ESP but you might look at the Vario 13 mm - M 3.0x part (2 ea. kugelbolzen in a pack), I used that on my standard 600E. Can't remember who I got them from though.

dfrazier,

There is some info on the bag they came in. There is a barcode of 34483.
And there is a 060/17 and also a 170707-00000480. I don't know if any of those are part numbers but it might help :0)

The stock link is 14mm and the one you have a link to is 13mm. At the bottom of the page there is one that has a 20mm link (Ord.No. 060/5) but it says it has a 3mm thread and the Align uses 3.5mm according to the manual.

Thanks anyway. I appreciate the effort.

Maybe the holders are different from the ESP to the E. But the Vario parts are measured from the center of the ball to the edge of the thread, not end to end. The Varios are about double the length of the stock ones of the 600E and position well about the center of the main column. I use the Ap2000i and flipped the grips on the 600E and it flies great.

Cheers

I measured the stock ESP link with digital calipers from the center of the ball to right where the threads started and came up with 14mm. They must be different from the E.

Thanks
