Proof that one should take easy after not flying for a few weeks. On the bright side, I'm not board cause I got a heli to fix.

I attached a picture but it didn't work. I'll try again but I think something at RR is the problem today.

Sorry you had a bad crash. Good things came out of it as I am bored but seeing yours I will hold off!

I almost got mine out today but with 25 MPH winds I'm glad that I didn't. It tried to blow away in 5 to 10 mph gusts the other day.
I just can't seem to cope with much wind.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

I usually fly easy on the first 3 packs for warmup. Then on my 4th and 5th packs I go crazy. Is that snow I see? Kewl!

I was feeling kind of bad, I was having so much fun too. I hit the patch of tall grass you can see in the picture. Just did a stall turn and was flatting out after the dive and was just too low.
Just had to show you guys the heli, starting to laugh about it now.
The 20+ wind played a factor, but I can only blame myself.

Your right too Ken, warm up with a pack or two after a layover.

I've owned my Trex450seV2 for 6 weeks now and have had 9 crashes. I dont get depressed anymore. And my hands no longer shake when I fly it. Bcos I expect to have a crash by the end of the day. LOL! I've become pretty good at repairing my V2, now it take me only 1~3 hours to fix any crash. Here's what my canopy looks like now after 9 crashes. It's held together by staples. Hehe.

Man, I thought that Johnson grass would have slowed things down a little.

Sorry for your loss.

Ken,

A good way I found of strengthening your fiberglass canopy is to take some CA and fill the cracks with it. Then get some CA accelerant and spray it on there. The CA will harden and it will strengthen the integrity of your canopy. It also is a little prettier than staples, although after several crashes, nothing will really make it look nice.
