Has anyone figured out how to keep the airhog from just spinning in circles. I tried the trim and holding full right only slows down the rotation to a fast circle.....

tailmotor looses speed on the first flight 4th or 5th flight you have the trim all but used up 10-15 flights its just a constant piro.

The fix is a Lama. I had two airhogs last year. Returned both and bought the Lama.

Yes slider there is a solution and you will love it. Tape one or two 'paper clips' on the top of the nose right at the end ( it doesn't really matter where). One clip will give you good forward flight and you can still turn left or right. Two clips makes the little heli go pretty fast and you have to be awake to control it. You'll really like that Air Hog now, I even flew mine outside in calm air.

I have search everywhere on the net tonite trying to find a fix and there is nothing except one post about carpet fibers on the motor shafts.... It's brand new and I flew 4 flights with it trying to figure out whats causing the problems..... Maybe I should just give him one of my trex helis to play with until I can fix this POS.... Yes the airhog does make the BCP look like a great heli.....

Make sure they're the small ones. Try one first to get the feel of forward flight with these things. Also don't poke anything into the styrofoam around the nose, the battery is there. I ruined one by sticking a pin for weight in the nose. Can't wait to hear the good news.

I must of misunderstood I thought you were in the constant piro mode where the tailmotor is done.

The airhogs usually come with little stick-on weights for FF.

I never could get the Hog to go fast with the weights they come with. Paper clips work well. It goes too fast with two of them.

Yea the weight has to be right, and then the thing actually flies forward and you can turn too.

I got the weight figured out then I never could get used to the ruddder on the right stick and I almost broke the right stick trying to give forward cyclic all the time. Thats when I knew I was done.

I've had airhogs for over a year now. Personally I have a couple of them, and I like em. I did have one that I exchanged due to a weak tail motor(constant piro). One of them has been going for over a year now with 100's of flights without 1 issue. The other one had a mid air with my esky dauphin, and it took out the main rotor blade. The trick to the tailmotor is keeping it clean and clear of fibers, and cobwebs. It dosn't take much to bind up the motor shaft. Pull off the tail rotor and make sure the shaft is clean, maybe even see if you can get a dab of light oil on the bushing. With the tail rotor on you should be able to flick it, and it should spin freely. If it binds and stops quickly then it's dirty and needs to be cleaned.

If it piros a lot in one direction, check the rear rotor blade - just did this on my nephew's new submicro. Try pulling the rotor off of the motor shaft, then gently sliding it back on but leave a little space - don't push it all the way on ir it will bind with the motor housing.
