So I bought a new HeliMax CP last week, and have gone through 5 sets of blade grips, and three sets of blades. Very dissapointed with the blade grips on the Heli, absolutely ridiculous having to change after every little tiny scuff with the ground. I understand the Blade CP does not have the same consistant problem...? (Sorry just rambling) Everytime I power up, the pitch wants to automatically roll to the left, putting the blades directly in the ground. Any ideas on how to adjust this minus the controller. I should not have to adjust the trim all the way to the right to compensate for a level flight. Any ideas, anyone!?????

there are a couple things that could be causing this....

first, if the heli has been in a crash, then it is possible that the servo gears have slipped, or stripped. that would cause the swashplate to not move evenly, and be out of alignment.

second, the linkages to the swash plate may not be the correct length. and this would also cause the swash plate to be out of alignment.

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.

Very possible. Didn't think too much to check the servos. Are there any upgrades to servos to the Axe CP that would be more durable, stronger, or just plain better? Also, found aluminum blade grips on line; are they any stronger or hold up better than the plastic ones?

There are ALOT of upgrade servos for the Axe. Probably the best servo for the money would be the DS285MG, or the HS65MG

And the aliminum grips are stronger. But that can be a bad thing, too, if you're still crashing alot. The plastic grips provide a "Weak point" that actually helps prevent even more damage. The aluminum grips don't break. Something else will.

Hell... I can fix that.

Sound's like you're swash is not level. You didn't say what radio you have or if you're using training gear. Level you're swash plate, add about 30% expo to you radio, use training gear to help keep the heli up-right on the first hops you wont need them long.

There is a lot of good sites with videos to aid you with setup. Try a search for Bob White video's. Finless Bob's Helifreak Tech Room - Tips and how-To Videos.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
