I want to assign a stick channel (like aileron/elevator) to a switch and want to be able to disable the stick channel when I flip the swith to off position.
Like when I flip the switch (switch "G" for example), the aileron stops function, when I flip it back, it goes to normal operation...

I am pretty sure this is possible with programable mixes.
How would I do that on Futaba 9Z radio?

Thanks

Just out of curiosity why would you want to disable the aileron / elevator stick. Inquiring minds want to know.

.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

He he...

Unlike what you think, the aileron control is not to be used for any aircraft. It is controlling camera mount on AP ship and that function needs to be disbaled for certain conditions.

Disabling aileron control would be asking for a real trouble on any aircraft otherwise...

Satisfied?

Yep, makes sense.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Build a condition other than normal. Then set the aileron end points to 0/0 when you are in that condition.
You are not assigning aileron to a switch, you are assigning a flight condition to a switch (such as you would normally do to create an idle up mode).

That was very nice. Thanks Jim!..

I thought it would be possible to mix the same channel to itself but it apprently didn't work.

The method you suggested will definitely work...

Thanks a bunch...

Though only down side of creating different conditon method is that you need to make all the tuning changes on both conditions. May get a bit boring down the road...
Just came to my mind...

I think with the 9Z the minimum endpoint is 30%. It would be better to go to the AFR function as you can set that to zero either side, otherwise I agree mr jsenicka. Oh, and you can use the condition copy function to just copy the normal flight mode to the new condition, then just change the AFR as you want.
