Funny or sad, I'm undecided.
Sad that his heli burst into flames, funny that his firefighting skills really suck

loved the way his tail was twitching...not an advertisement for hands off flying or Helicommand (HC can do a lot better then that)
nice steady video, wonder if he had it setup to run on a tripod and he just hovered in front of it and took the time to zoom in on his burning heli before trying to save it?

At least he wasn't too high or over a wood pile!
hate to see it happen, but liked the flames...am I a pyro?

do you mean if the heli command was on the tripod? seems so, very steady hands off operation.

No, just reviewed it again and he was talking to someone telling them to keep the camera on the heli...after he flew it right near the camera twice.
gotta give it a "SAD" rating cause I'm seeing too many negatives going on here.

Looks like the blades are pretty far outa track. Just a note guys
When you see the "magic smoke" as SOON as you see the magic smoke, its a good idea to shut down. IMO of course.

Funny mostly. Sad that he had damage though.

I forgot he was using heli command, lol! I could have a far better hands off hover without any of that (unless he didn't have it set up in the right mode).

I don't know why he kept the canopy and motor on so long. You see fire you get the lipo out fast and try to cover it with something!!! (well what I would do)

My raptor 50 will hover hands off better than that.

And how about that quick action. Kept the power on a long time after smoking began.

I like how he calmly waited for the blades to stop before doing anything. He should have moved way faster, may have been able to get the battery disconnected before there were flames. My vote is for funny, thanks for the vid dood.

Hey, where's the smoke coming from? I think I'll keep the head spooled up and maybe it'll go away.
The tail has wag like a happy puppy with a bone.

Definitely funny.

Well, he's alright by unplugging lipo, but I wouldn't take off the Gucci shirt to wrap around the already-destroyed heli

I vote funny...flying in a back yard, tail wag, hands off hover, taking a video, ends in a fire...very funny. Wouldn't have been funny if he had hurt himself or someone else.

The only funnier one I've seen is one where a guy is showing off to his friends hovering what looks like a trex450 over a small outdoor pool, and he dives in after he sinks it...just awesome.

well, actually the fire was STARTED perhaps as an electrical fire, but a CLASS C fire, becomes a CLASS A, or B fire once the power is turned off.

Class A - common combustables
Class B - Gas, or Liquid fuel
Class C - Electrical
Class D - Metal
Class K - Cooking oil

Kinda funny, but I'd be sad if it were my heli.

I don't think he ever shut it off. The sound is very sharp when the motor cuts off. I don't see what the big deal is with filming a helicopter hovering (poorly) with heli command. Isn't that pretty much what it is supposed to do?
