So i finally got my bec, esc, and 300hdx motor and i still need to solder the connectors on but ill do that after Christmas. Anyway, where do you guys put the esc and bec because dont they have to be kind of far apart from each other? I think i will put the one on the bottom of the heli but where do i put the other one?

If you can get pics that would be awsome.

So maybe it doesnt matter. The instructions said to keep them around 5cm apart but if you have an ESC/BEC together then they have to be together. Does anybody else keep them right next to each other?

The ESC and BEC can be close. In fact most ESCs already have a BEC built-in. They should be as far away from the RX as possible. I have my ESC on the bottom, the BEC in the front on that little tab in front of the motor and the RX is in the back.

I like the BEC in the front because it has a bright LED. I've occassionally flown after sunset, right at twilight. The bright LED in the front and the LED in the RX, in the back, help with orientation.

I've tried the ESC on the side. I'd prefer to have it there because you can get it futher away from the RX. Plus, in case of hard landing, you won't smack it on the ground. But it was too tight a fit with the canopy so I put it back down under.

That was probably it, the ESC far away from the Rx.
Ok, thanks. I think i will put them on the bottom or side.
