Outdoor flight of my Striker 100 which is a pixy zap clone.
Not that I'm pimping this heli but if you want to see a small heli in NO WIND doing close in forward flight and hovering, here ya go.
BTW: My Gaui EP100 Pro flies better:

Watch at YouTube

There are plenty of Gaui 200Pro2 fans as well.
A HBK2 would probably handle the wind better.

Then there's Doug- and all bets are off.
Thanks BOB Who !! The smaller heli's like the Blade CP and HBK2 definatly don't have the stability or quality of a TREX 450 se or many of the fine 450's on the market but thats not to say they don't fly. I do like the micros better than the mini's- but thats just me. From what I have read, the Gaui 200 seems to be the best flying - most reliable, 3D cabable micro on the market. So I guess it comes down to-
What size heli do you like or want" 100-200-300-450
How much do you want spend ?
Are replacement parts readily available ?
Just my two sense

How about the blade 400's are they decent.
My friend Mark has one with over 200 flight on it and its been very reliable for him. Bought for 300 bux used and hasen't spent a dime on it since. (Except extra batts) Your always going to read vastly different reports on the exact same heli's depending on personal experience. My favorite helis so far have been the ones that lift off the ground when throttle is applied

I am starting to understand Dougie your sadistic ways and mental torture. I am finding it actually fun to torture myself flying this little junk POS firefox that everyone else has written off due to its difficulty to fly compared to bigger helis. It's self gratification knowing everything you do with it is twice as hard as it would be with say my T-rix. After a firefox flight straight to the T-rix it flies like a bus It just sits there hovering waiting for an input.

As a reference dougie the firefox flies like a BCPP maybe a bit less stable but to close to compare.

No Really I am the club President!!!
