I'm wondering if the non-Bind and Fly mcx will bind to my DX7. Since the radio costs way more than the heli, there would be times when I don't want to bring the good radio out.

In other words, I'd like to have 2 radios for one mcx.

You can also increase the end points for better control.

Thanks for the info, I ended up getting the bind n fly because they sold the RTF before I made it back to the LHS.

I don't think this is actually doing what you think. Moving the end points will not change the amount of throw on the servos. I wish it did. You can achieve exactly the same effect by changing the expo (Negative for JR, positive for Futaba). Changing the end points will make it more sensitive to stick input, but will not give you more maximum forward/back, left/right speed.

The sheet that came with my CX, states that when using a Spektrum radio, increasing the end points will improve the control. Increasing the range of motion on the ELE and AIL will improve the performance. I didnt just dream it up, its based on fact, I wont make a statement on setup without a point of fact to back it up.

I guess you have never flown a heli with mCCPM, you adjust the amount of pitch and cyclic by adjusting the end pionts, changing the amount of throw

I bound mine to a DX6i and maxed out the end points, seems to fly better.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I found increasing the endpoints did nothing. The servos pretty much have full throw right out of the box.

That is possible, I have a Futaba 9CHP with a Spektrum module, and the throw did increase.
