I did not have any problems but I usually luck out and have very little to any problems that most do.

Now the Logo 600 vbar machine that my buddy has is a different story. Its running top of the line equiptment and even though it has more power than anything I have ever flown the tail kicks all the time, and the heli pitches really bad in certain situations. That heli is kicking my A$$!!

Ouch

Did you ground the boom? If so, how?

Sorry for asking so many questions- I just dont want to see my new machine go up in a cloud of burning plastic

The issue is that the 6200 is not as robust as the 7000. The 7000 is just better when trying to run heli electronics........Ron

I have not grounded the boom yet on either one. I do not think I have static issues on the 600

Kirk, I added a little silicone grease with Graphite powder mixed in to my belt to prevent static. I don't think I have issues with it here in Fl. but when I went to Georgia, I experienced it for the first time. Now I am paranoid.....Ron

So its dry air that also contributes to it? Can I use WD-40 instead of silicone? Been doing this on my T500 and no issues so far.

NO!!!!!
WD-40 is petroleum based and will attack the belt over time. Yes the drier the air (less humidity) the better evnvironment for static buildup. The silicone grease I use is the grease for the transmission box from back in my R/C car days. The graphite powder will cost all of $3 fro Pep Boys or Autozone........Ron

So graphite powder and silicone spray.

Could I ground my boom instead of spraying it?

Sure, just make sure you expose the metal on the boom to ensure contact and attach the other end to the motor mount and then to the (-) of the ESC.......Ron

Yeah as long as it in insulated. If you can find OFC cable (oxygen free cable) that will help it last longer before corrosion sets in........Ron

Laughing still is spot on about the WD40.
Be very carefull alot of theses type of lubes are petroleum based, This WILL rot the belt and cause it to brake down over time.
